What does the acronym OLDS stand for?

It stands for online Log Data Set. (1) A data set on direct access storage that contains the log records written by an online IMS system. See also system log data set.(2) A data set on direct access storage that contains the log records written by DBCTL. When the current OLDS is full, DBCTL continues logging to a further available OLDS. See also system log data set.
